New YouTube Video Ad That Will Blow Your Mind

New YouTube Video Ad That Will Blow Your Mind

Obviously you need to check out this New YouTube Video we created for YouTube Video Marketing Ads

It is not easy being this creative, but somebody has to do it. We came up with this YouTube video for one specific purpose. That is to create YouTube Trueview ads.

Awhile back I blogged about the need to create a Video for YouTube specifically. You can not just take a commercial you have been using for TV and start running YouTube ads to it. That does not make any sense.

If you are going to dabble in YouTube ads you really need to create a video that is customized for YouTube. Trust me on this one. I am constantly running youtube ads and testing what works and what does not.

Did you notice how we used the skip button? Did you notice how we spoke to the audience and acknowledge that they were on YouTube. This stuff works.

People are tired of us bombarding them with our messages. For example…When was the last time you got a call from a salesman. How nice were you? Or when was the last time somebody texted you asking if they could call you? Now that is just weird.

Things are changing and you will want your video marketing to adapt to what people want.

So while you are here I wanted to show you a couple of other videos that we have created for YouTube.

This video was created to rank for the keyword “How basketball got started.” You will notice if you type that keyword into YouTube that is the first listing that will come up. There is a trick to this and you can read all about it by jumping over to

They will explain how to rank video and how you can dominate YouTube within your niche. This goes right back to creating the right type of video.

Good Luck

Video Scribing Company and 5 Things You Should Know Before Hiring One

Video Scribing Company and 5 Things You Should Know Before Hiring One

Video Scribing Ad ResponsivenessVideo Scribing and 5 Things you Need to Know

Video scribing is powerful and will be used more and more as it comes into the main stream media.  But there are things you should consider and know before hiring a video scribing company.  Lets run over a couple.

1.  Demo & References

When you are considering a video company you must ask for demos and references.  Can the potential video vendor supply a demo of their work featuring previous clients? There should be no hesitation to ask, and the video scribing company should have no hesitation when supplying you with a demo video and references.   If the company is hesitant to provide you demos or their satisfied clients as references, they may not have any!

2.  Creative Control

What check points are along the way when approving your video?  During the script writing process, you should have final approval on the script before production is scheduled.  You should have the final say on your artwork, music, voice recording, and layout.  That is just all part of the process and part of creating a great video.  Be sure you understand the process and where you have the ability to make changes.

3.  Re-writes and Re-edits

I would like to say that video scribing companies love re-writes and re-edits, but we do not.  They are costly but they are a part of the business and we are happy to do them for any client.  We allow our clients to make adjustments until they are satisfied-all within reason.  You need to be aware of this when hiring a production company.  Often times there will be clauses in the contract that does not allow corrections or changes without charging you money.  Make sure you are allowed 2 to 3 opportunities to provide feedback and make changes.

4. Additional Costs

Nobody likes additional costs especially after payout a good chunk of money for a video.  Make sure your agreement clearly details additional costs such as animation sequences, stock footage, color, music, voice recording, etc. Make sure you understand what you are getting in your video.  What is included and what is not included.  A good video scribing company will not try and nickel and dime you along they way.  If additional costs continue to be added on after the process has become you might consider a different route.

Ebbinghaus Curve: Retention is Key

Ebbinghaus Curve: Retention is Key

How to Retain Your Audience

How often do you forget where you put your keys or walk into a room and immediately forget why you entered it?  Happens quite a bit doesn’t it?  So why do we forget things?  It’s actually not a loss in your long term memory but really a failure in memory retrieval.  No information is actually lost, it’s still available in your long term memory, but for some reason you are just unable to retrieve it at that point in time.

In 1885, Hermann Ebbinghaus did an experiment on memory where he had subjects memorize a list of meaningless three letter words and tracked how quickly his subjects forgot the words. As you can see from the graph below, known as the Ebbinghaus curve, our learners will rapidly forget information. This is also information that was memorized.  After 31 days the retention was less then 25%.  In the case of meaningless information, only 20 minutes after they only remember 58% of the information.  Now image what the retention rate is if there was no initial memorization.  It might not even hit 2%!

We spend so much time creating a master presentation or article to have our audience forget within an hour.  What can we do?  Video Scribing is a perfect mnemonic device.  A mnemonic device, is any learning technique that aids memory. Commonly met mnemonics are often verbal, something such as a very short poem or a special word used to help a person remember something, particularly lists, but may be visual, kinesthetic or auditory. Mnemonics rely on associations between easy-to-remember constructs which can be related back to the data that is to be remembered. The best mnemonic technique is imagery.  By using videos, pictures, and other images you can recall things years later it is much better to use pictures in our everyday business activities.
